September 11 Textbook Project
How have the events of September 11th effected our Core Democratic Values?
Since Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence and pointed out the things that we stand for as a people, and the Framers of the Constitution gave us a guide to running our country we have worked hard to make this a great nation. But there are times when danger arises and it is easy to put freedom, justice, and equality aside in order for us to all feel safe. It is the job of a Historian to look at these issues and figure out what has really happened and how it effects us as a people and a nation. Over this week we will research the different ways that 9/11 has effected the United States and we will each construct a page that could go into a History textbook for the next generation. There will be several small assignments that will be turned in to Canvas using this page, and there will be a final project submission that will be also be turned in to Canvas. The final project will count both as a project grade and as a vocabulary quiz, so it will count twice. I want everybody to work very hard to get and get great grades on these assignments.
