In order to study and learn we need tools to provide us with information and guidance through the many different fields of the social sciences. The links on this page will provide us with the ability to gather knowledge, process it, and create products of our learning. We are not here to memorize facts and dates. Our job is to develop our skills and learn to think about how the past affects the world in which we live.
Material history is a cross between History and Archaeology. The objects that we build as people tell a lot about the way we see the world and the technological capabilities of specific points in our past. Whenever we go to a museum or find an object somewhere it comes to us with history attached to it. These objects can give us clues to our personal, local or national past.
